Ed Dickenson

I am currently the Thackray Hip Fellow in Wrightington and have previously competed the Young Adult Hip Fellowship at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Birmingham. In 2025 I will commence my Consultant post in Oswestry. My subspeciality interests are Hip and Knee arthroplasty, and Hip Preservation surgery. I began my training on the Warwickshire programme and completed a PhD ’the Epidemiology of FAI Syndrome’. During my PhD I worked as the research Fellow on the UK FASHIoN trial – the largest randomised trial comparing Hip Arthroscopy to physiotherapy. In my free time I enjoy Rugby, Cricket and hold a pilots license.

Eyton Debbi

My name is Eytan M. Debbi, MD, PhD and I am an academic hip and knee replacement surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY. My clinical practice is focused on managing a comprehensive range of cases from primary to complex revision arthroplasty. My PhD is in Biorobotics, Biomechanics and Mechanical Engineering. As leader of our Implant Longevity group at HSS, my research is focused on methods of improving patient functional outcomes and reducing implant failure after surgery. When not in the hospital, I love adventuring with my wife and three children. I am thankful to have recently been selected for this year’s Hip Society-British Hip Society Traveling Fellowship and very much looking forward to the incredible opportunity.

Jonathan Evans

Jonathan Evans

Jonathan Evans is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Trauma & Orthopaedics at the University of Exeter and Consultant hip surgeon at the Exeter Hip Unit. Having completed his doctorate at the University of Bristol, he now works on the data analysis team of the National Joint Registry (NJR). His research interests include Post-operative Periprosthetic Femoral Fractures (POPFF) and he is currently developing a Core Outcome Set for POPFF. He is working towards securing funding for an international collaborative RCT investigating the management of Prosthetic Joint Infection (PJI), the ROADMAP trial. He is also working to develop methods to assess the environmental impact of health technologies and embed this within both trials and observational research such as the NJR.

Ajay Premkumar

Ajay Premkumar

I am an academic orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery, working with residents and fellows daily, and directing the research activities for the arthroplasty division at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to working at Emory, I completed my orthopaedic surgery residency and adult reconstruction fellowship training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. In addition to clinical and research activities, I serve as Associate Chief Medical Officer/Chief Quality Officer at Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital, which is an orthopaedic specialty hospital with 11 ORs and performing roughly 5500 surgeries annually.
