The BHS Education Committee was established in 2019 and ratified at the AGM in Newport in 2020, with the aim of imparting formal education and training in hip surgery.

The Committee's main objectives are:

• Organisation and delivery of the BHS Instructional Course annually with the aim of delivering the whole FRCS (Tr & Orth) syllabus over a three year cycle.
• Orchestration of the BHS Fellows Forum which occurs in January each year.
• Producing webinars covering the full scope of hip surgery collaborating with colleagues from across the globe.
• Hosting and organising the annual priciples of the hip arthroplasty course aimed at early years specialist trainees.
• BHS themed sessions at BOTA annual meeting.
