Non-medical family background. I am a fellowship trained hip and knee arthroplasty surgeon. I do not do trauma. I have practiced in three different healthcare systems in Greece, UK and Canada. I have an interest in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate and hold an honorary degree with the University of Dundee. I have had mentorship that assisted me in successfully working through a regulatory GMC process.

Profile statement

I am a consultant hip and knee surgeon at NHS Tayside, since January 2007. I have benefited from mentorship myself to help shape change in my practice and approach towards a challenging work environment. I am one of few international medical graduates that trained in Orthopaedics in a different country and work in Scotland. I have supported colleagues in difficulty. Happy to mentor via zoom or in person if local.
