Profile statement

I am taking up my first Consultant Post in April 2022, and am an advocate for supportive teaching and training environments in Trauma & Orthopaedics. I have worked with the BOA wellbeing survey to identify burnout in trainees and consultants and I am working on methods to improve training during changing demands on service, consultant experience and the potential for problems that current trainees face within the pandemic recovery plan.

I can share my experience of working within a large geographical deanery, raising a young family and a partner working in the NHS. I am a previous Academic Foundation trainee and have experience mentoring students to achieve the same goal.
